This first method is the official process but it does NOT migrate your QUICK CONNECTs. The second method gets everything.

1 – Use the FileZilla Interface:

  1. On the source (old) machine, start FileZilla
  2. Click FILE > EXPORT
  3. Select EXPORT SITE MANAGER ENTRIES, EXPORT SETTINGS and EXPORT QUEUE (or less if you do not want everything)
  4. Click OK and select a destination your new machine can get to (like a thumbdrive)

  5. On the destination (new) machine, start FileZilla
  6. Click FILE > IMPORT
  7. Select the exported file from the source computer

2 – Just Copy The FileZilla Setting Directory:

  1. Make sure both machines are running the same version of Filezilla
    1. In practice, this is not usually required as long as the builds are close but making them the same will elliminate problems
  2. On the source (old) machine, make sure FileZilla is closed
  3. Using Windows Explorer (My Computer, Computer, This PC, File Explorer…) go to C:USERS<AccountName>AppDataRoaming
    1. If you do not see the APPDATA folder, you need to turn on HIDDEN FILES
  4. Copy the entire FILEZILLA Folder to a destination your new machine can get to (like a thumbdrive)
  5. On the destination (new) machine, copy that FileZilla folder to the same location C:USERS<AccountName>AppDataRoaming
