Auction registrants further understands and agrees to have all legal disputes resulting from the auction resolved in a NY state court in the township of Islip Suffolk County NY and are responsible to cover all court costs and attorney fees.

ONLINE BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE: This auction may be carried timed as well as live on multiple online sites, also, we have live bidding through our gallery in the form of live, phone, left and fax bidding, therefore, the auctioneer will have the final say as to who is the highest and winning bidder despite any automatic emails or notification by the online sight you placed your bids through. The auction house will notify you directly by way of email or telephone to acknowledge if you were a winning bidder and to arrange payment. The decision of the auctioneer is final and absolute. Please note this auction house processes all invoices on the day of the auction so please contact the auction gallery if you were a winning bidder immediately following the sale to arrange payment and shipping.

PLEASE BE SURE THE CREDIT CARD YOU REGISTER WITH IS SUFFICIENT ENOUGH TO PAY YOUR TOTAL INVOICE BALANCE $25.00 fee for all declined credit cards or bad checks. Shipping for all winning online bidders will begin within approximately 2 business days and a paid invoice will be attached to your package in the form of a packing slip, thank you. Identification: All bidders are required to have a Bidder Number provided by the auctioneer. Prospective bidders must provide complete contact information including: Providing an approved (official) photo ID (state issued driver's license preferred), including name and complete address. Full contact information; including phone number(s), & email address(s) and/or approved credit card. Persons not known to the auctioneer may also be required to provide a deposit (cash and/or approved credit card).
Addition to or withdrawal from sale: The auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw from sale any item listed and/or to sell items not listed; and reserves the right to group one or more lots into one or more selling lots or to subdivide lots into two or more selling lots. The auctioneer reserves the right to sell all of the lots in bulk.
Dispute between bidders: If any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the auctioneer may decide the same or may immediately put the lot(s) up for sale again and re-sell to the highest bidder. The auctioneer reserves the right to accept or to not accept any bid at the sole discretion of the auctioneer. The decision of the auctioneer as to the winning bidder is final and absolute. The auctioneer and/or his representatives reserve the right to remove any person who impedes the preview and/or the auction. Estimated condition, grade, count, measure or weight: Items are sold by lot or group; condition, counts, grades, weights, measurements, karats are stated as non-binding approximations. It is the responsibility of the bidder to confirm condition, and all counts, grades, weights, measurements, karats prior to bidding and to bid accordingly.
Reserve: The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any and all bids. On lots with a reserve the auctioneer has the right to bid on the part of the seller.
Condition of items sold: The auctioneer shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness of, or defect of any lot and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance will be made or sale set aside on account of any incorrectness, error in cataloging, or any imperfection not noted. No deduction will be allowed on damaged articles. It is the responsibility of the bidder to examine the item(s) during the preview and to adjust their bids accordingly. ALL SALES ARE 'AS IS', 'WHERE IS' & ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Time of Payment: All bills must be paid in full on the day of the auction sale. Online bidders please note: unpaid merchandise will be held for 1 business day only and then resold at bidder's expense and entire unpaid said balance will still be owed and due along with any breach of contract, collection and attorney fees.
Manner of payment: All bills must be paid by approved method (cash, or approved credit card) to Baker's Antiques and Auctions within 1 business day of said auction. Online Bidders Please Note: We do not use Paypal so please don't ask. We process all orders directly through our gallery you must call the gallery to arrange payment. We accept all major credit cards. Personal and/or business checks require the advanced approval of the auctioneer and may require additional security or time to clear before the lot(s) are provided. The full purchase price on all lots sold to the buyer must be paid within the fixed time, before the removal of any of the items.
ONLINE, PHONE AND INHOUSE BIDDER'S TAKE NOTICE: Registering to bid is a legal and binding contract to buy persons registering to bid without the means or intent to pay for their auction purchase will be subject to a $500 breach of contract fee for damages and disruption of our auction along with any collection agency or attorney fees.
Absentee Bidders: Absentee bidders will be required to complete an absentee bidder form and provide a 25% deposit in the form of cash or approved credit card. All absentee bids must be submitted no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the auction. In the event that the winning bid is the same amount on two or more absentee bidder forms, the earliest date/time bid will be offered the item. The auctioneer reserves the right to proceed to another bidder if the winning bidder defaults, or at the auctioneer's discretion. The auctioneer's determination of the winning absentee bidder is final. Compliance with terms of the sale: In default of payment of bills in full within the time herein specified, the auctioneer in addition to all other remedies allowed by law may retain all monies received as deposits or otherwise, as liquidated damages. Lots not paid for and removed within the time specified herein may be resold at public or private sale without further notice, and deficiency, together with all expenses and charges of re-sale will be charged to the defaulting purchaser. STORAGE: Any merchandise left over 1 day will incur a $10.00 per day storage fee and any merchandise left past 10 days will be resold or discarded at owner's expense and entire bill and late fees will still be considered owed and due. No merchandise will be removed or delivered without presentation of a fully paid invoice. Auctioneer will not be responsible for goods placed in storage.
Additional terms and conditions: Any additional terms and conditions of sale, added by the auctioneer will be announced prior to the auction.
Removal of merchandise: Removal, packaging, shipping and insurance will be at the sole expense, liability and risk of the purchaser. Assistance in packaging and shipping may be offered as a courtesy only. Baker's Antiques and Auctions and its employees take no responsibility whatsoever once merchandise is sold. Merchandise lost, stolen or damaged in shipping is at the sole responsibility of the purchaser, said purchaser personally guarantees full payment for all purchased merchandise by either cash or credit card per the auction terms and conditions and is bound herein and agrees to waive any legal rights to a credit card chargeback from this all sales final auction sale.
Non-delivery responsibility: The auctioneer is not liable in any event for non-delivery or for any other matter or thing, to any purchaser of any lot.
Claims: No claims will be allowed after the goods are removed from the premises.
Shipping: courtesy Packing, shipping, handling & insurance fees are all nonrefundable Any and all return shipping, handling and insurance charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer., please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. $10 minimum for packing, shipping and insurance.
Personal and property risk: Persons attending during exhibition, sale or removal of goods assume all risks of damage of or loss to person and personal property and specifically release the auctioneer from liability therefore. Neither the auctioneer nor his principal shall be liable by reason of any defect in or condition of the premises on which the sale is held.
Records: The record of sale kept by the auctioneer and bookkeeper will be taken as final in the event of any dispute.
Exceptions: The auctioneer reserves the right to cancel the auction due to inclement weather or any other reason as determined by the auctioneer.

Shipping Terms
We do not automatically charge your credit card! You will be responsible for contacting the auction facility and provide credit card information for payment. Payments can be made in cash or credit card on scheduled day of pick up. If items are not picked up or prior arrangements made by end of item pick up your items will be considered forfeited.

I am fairly new to this website so I apologize if I am posting on the wrong forum. Anyways, I have came a cross a doubled door hall marvin herring safe with the serial number 45251 on the handle. I do not have the combination, however I would like to know more about this safe and if there is anyway that I could possibly open it. purchased. I was unable to find a serial number or brand name on it.
I do have some photos of the dial, hinges, latches, etc.. I am hoping
that this will help. Also, I am looking for the correct procedure on
how to enter the combination (in case I do get lucky and find it some
where)

It has dates of 1907 and 1908 for patents. Also, the dial is numbered
from 20 to 100 with a blank spot. It looks like this safe may have
been drilled twice already judging from the plugs that seem o be
installed in the door.
Any help would be appreciated.
